Savoy is bordered by Switzerland (cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Valais), by Italy (the autonomous area of the Aosta Valley and the province of Piedmont) and by France (Dauphiny ["Département de l'Isère"] and Pays de Gex as well as Bugey ["Département de l'Ain"]).
